what's all this...
I'm a lazy blogger, I can never remember what I've done in a given day, let alone in a given week, which is when I remember to blog... but I do like the concept of microblogging. I'll be heading off to Japan in a few weeks for my twice-yearly trip to that side of the planet, and figured it would be great if I could microblog and have my location stored somewhere then make both of them viewable by everyone. So an hour of hacking at work, another hour of layouting in the evening, and this client/platform independent Twitter-Latitude mashup was born. Powered by XML, JSON, PHP and of course mySQL. It was lots of fun to make, enjoy! (Pictures of the day are generally something I took within the last week)
I'm currently in Toronto, ON, Canada as of 9901.6 minutes ago, well atleast my phone is...

Major annoyances tonight: our parking monkeys sending people out the entrance & amount of effort required to de-NAT Rogers' docis3 boxes...

I take back some of my scorn: the price is impressive for hardware, and there is unlocked 3G, but I still dislike the closed appstore model.

iPad is ultimately a gorgeous gadget/toy, but doesn't do anything we already can't do better, IMO. Just gimme that IPS display in a Macbook!

If iPad is just a large -and still appstore tied- iPod Touch, its very uninteresting. Sorry Apple these will not be a viable game platform.
